I work with organizations that make real things — and want their commercial operations to be as modern as their products.

For most of the industrial economy, the hard part of transformation was never the technology. It's the gap between a working system and a changed business: the change management, the customer experience, the commercial habits that decide whether a new tool actually moves revenue. That gap is where I spend my time.

My work spans commercial intelligence — turning customer data into growth — and the broader modernization of legacy industries through practical technology and AI adoption. Increasingly, that work is global: some of the most interesting industrial growth is happening across Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia, and I research and write about where modernization meets emerging-market opportunity.

What I believe

  • Technology should serve strategy.
  • Data should drive decisions.
  • AI should create outcomes.
  • Transformation should improve how people work.
  • Growth comes from understanding customers better than competitors.

How I work

Some of it is advisory — helping leadership teams connect their data, CRM, ecommerce and AI into a single commercial engine. Some of it is writing: Commercial Futures, a newsletter read by operators who'd rather understand the mechanics than the hype. And some of it is building — the frameworks on this site are the working models I return to again and again.
